The Christmas Market Game is a Long One 🎄

EUROPEAN CHRISTMAS MARKETS

If you’ve been dreaming of sipping mulled wine under twinkling lights in Europe—this is your sign to keep planning.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared why now is the best time to start locking in your hotels for Christmas market season.

That post sparked a lot of interest, and I wanted to let you know: I’m still rolling out new market guides each month from our whirlwind December/January trip across Europe.

We visited over 20 markets (yes, really)—and there’s no way to write that kind of experience and do it justice in a single post. (To date I have 10 individual posts on Christmas Markets in Europe)

This week, I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite stops: Strasbourg in France.

The city goes all in for Christmas. Think: oversized teddy bears climbing buildings, lights strung across every laneway, and entire streets transformed into festive movie sets.

It’s no wonder they call it the Capital of Christmas.

👉 Fresh off the press: Read the full guide to the Strasbourg Christmas Markets here

If Strasbourg isn’t on your list yet—trust me, it should be. And if you’re already planning, don’t wait to book accommodations. This city sells out fast!

Hope you found something helpful in this week’s broadcast! If you did, feel free to pass it along to a friend who’d enjoy it too. 💖💖💖

a family smiling for the camera on a peak over the city of medellin, columbia

Dear Reader This month’s Spotlight on Subscriber takes us somewhere full of color, warmth, and a few surprises along the way. ☕ Colombia might not be on everyone’s radar, but after hearing about this trip, you might want to move it up your list. My friend (and neighbor!) Courtney recently spent 10 days exploring Medellín with her family - with a bonus day in Mexico City that started with an earthquake and ended at the zoo. From cable car rides over the city to climbing 700 stairs for sweeping...

Dear Reader We just got back from two weeks in Guadeloupe, and I think it might be my new favorite Caribbean island. Not only is it culturally rich, but nature is on a whole other level there. We are currently in the depths of winter, and I bet there are a few of you looking for that next sunny destination... If you are.. keep reading. This week's includes: Why Guadeloupe Blew Us Away Travel Tip of the Week Christmas Markets in Europe? Start Planning for 2026 WHY GUADELOUPE BLEW US AWAY The...

Dear Reader I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a calm start to the New Year. ☀️ We were soaking up some sunshine in Guadeloupe, which is why my newsletter went a little quiet for the past two weeks. I’m freshly back now, and this trip ended up being a real gear test. We connected through Montreal, dealt with snow and ice, then landed straight into tropical heat and humidity. That contrast made it very obvious what worked and what didn’t once we arrived. Here’s what actually earned its...
